George Stogdale, Senior Executive, Corporations and Corporate Governance Enforcement at ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) will address senior Deakin Law School Bachelor of Laws students on the role and functions of ASIC as primary corporate regulator. This lecture will also be of considerable interest to practising lawyers and business people. 

George Stogdale biography:

George Stogdale is the Senior Executive of the Markets Enforcement team at ASIC.  Whilst he is based in Melbourne, he is responsible for teams in Brisbane, Sydney Melbourne and Hobart investigating and taking enforcement action in relation to corporations and corporate governance and financial crime related matters and disciplinary action against auditors and liquidators.

Prior to joining ASIC in 2008, George was a commercial litigation partner for twenty years at Middletons, a commercial law firm (now K&L Gates).
