ABC Ballarat interview excerpt featuring Dr Neera Bhatia.

These days, hospitals have the technology to save premature babies that are born as early as 23 weeks, which is 17 weeks before their normal due date.

But often these babies can be left with severe disabilities, that many parents struggle to cope with.

So while we have the medical technology, should we be using it in every instance?

Dr Neera Bhatia, lecturer at Deakin Law School, recently released her book 'Critically Impaired Infants and End of Life Decision Making'. You can order your copy here.

Listen to the full story aired on RN Drive on 16 June 2015.
