Participate in one of the world’s most prestigious mooting competitions.
Preparations are underway at Deakin Law School for the 23rd Vis Moot in Vienna, and the 13th Vis (East) Moot in Hong Kong, to take place over 2015 / 2016. Oral rounds of argument in the Vis Moot are to be held in Vienna and Hong Kong in the three weeks before Easter next year.
The Vis Moot is one of the world’s most prestigious mooting competitions, and provides an opportunity for Deakin Law School students to study in detail the law of international commercial arbitration and the international sale of goods. Through the Vis Moot, Deakin Law School students engage with competitors and arbitrators from all over the world, from various legal cultures, and different legal systems. Deakin is one of few universities in the world to have competed in the Vis Moot every year that the event has run.
Applications are now being accepted from Deakin Law School students for the 2015 / 2016 team. If you would like to get involved, you can find out more information on the Law School’s Vis Moot webpage.
The 2014 / 2015 Vis Moot was attended by around 100 law schools in Hong Kong, and 300 law schools in Vienna.
