For the past 24 years, Deakin has been one of few universities in the world to have competed every year the competition has taken place, with our students achieving outstanding results.
Students will have the opportunity to study, in detail, the law of international commercial arbitration and the international sale of goods, as well as develop legal research, written and oral advocacy, teamwork skills – all while working with a passionate, dedicated team of fellow classmates.
Extensive practice moots with Deakin Vis Moot alumni take place during the coaching period, during which students can gain first-hand insight into the experience – all while earning credit towards their degree.
The Vis Moot requires long-term commitment from students, commencing from the end of Trimester 2 exams through to the oral rounds before Easter in 2017.
Applications are now open for 2016/2017. Students can submit their details to Dr Benjamin Hayward, coach of the Vis Moot team, by email (benhay@deakin.edu.au), consisting of a resume, covering letter, academic transcript and anything further to boost your application.
