QS World University Rankings bump law at Deakin into the top 100.
Deakin University has leapt into the top 100 universities in the world for its excellence in law education.
Following the recent release of the QS World University Rankings by subject, Deakin is also one of only three universities in Victoria among the global top 100 for law.
Now in its 13th year, the QS World University Rankings provide an independent evaluation of higher education institutions across the world and in the 2018 overall rankings, Deakin was placed among the world’s top 300 universities.
The ‘by subject’ ranking, which has been produced in the last eight years, is designed to provide a crucial comparative guide to university performance for students, parents, career and study advisors and academia.
Deakin Law School (DLS) is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary and Dean of Law, Professor Jenni Lightowlers, said the ranking recognises the high quality of DLS’s students, staff and professionally-relevant programs.
‘The academic and research work that DLS produces is outstanding and we focus on providing strong links into real-world professions for our graduates. Our goal is to ensure that every Deakin law grad is equipped for any career that uses an analytical, smart, technology-savvy, global skill-set.’
